Located in the Teachers' Estate area of Nakuru, The Watering Hole is a Christ-centered gathering place for men who follow Christ or are interested in becoming followers. Established in 2022, it hosts seven men's groups throughout the week, providing a supportive community for spiritual growth and fellowship.
Algias Kasembeli, coordinates the activities at The Watering Hole, ensuring each group is led by a dedicated group leader.
The Watering Hole's doors are always open throughout the day, welcoming men to stop in, ask questions about our ministry, or simply share a cup of chai. All are welcome to stop in to explore what it means to follow Christ, connect with men of faith, and deepen their faith.
The Herd Men's Fellowship is inspired by the shared and protective instincts of water buffalo herds. The Herd embodies a sanctuary community for men to be gathered by God to support and strengthen one another on their spiritual journey with Christ. Just as a herd rallies to defend its vulnerable members, this fellowship fosters a tight-knit community where men, regardless of their strengths or weaknesses, find safety and encouragement in a community of repentant followers of Christ. Our meeting place, aptly named The Watering Hole, symbolizes not only the essential need for the herd to have water but also spiritually symbolizes the need for the living water that only God provides. It draws on Jesus' declaration of providing "rivers of living water" to those who believe, emphasizing the essential nature of spiritual hydration for the soul. At the Watering Hole, men are disciplined to become devoted followers of Christ. Echoing 1st Peter 5:8-9, we are called to stand firm in faith against an adversary who seeks to devour us. The Watering Hole represents a spiritual refuge, where the living water of Christ rejuvenates, transforms, and unites them in their walk with God, impacting their lives, families, and communities with enduring faith and compassionate brotherhood.
John 7:37-38
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
